    What each vaccine is for

The doses and spacing below are the clinic's schedules.

    2 doses · 0 and 6 months

    Hepatitis A

A liver infection spread through food and water. The US CDC says any adult who wants protection can get it.

    3 doses · 0, 1 and 6 months

    Hepatitis B

A liver infection spread through blood and body fluids. The CDC recommends it for adults aged 19 to 59, and for older adults who want it.

    1 dose

    Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, whooping cough)

One dose for adults who never had it, then a booster every 10 years. One dose in each pregnancy, in weeks 27 to 36.

    2 doses · 0 and 3 months

    Shingles

A recombinant shingles vaccine for adults 50 and older, and for adults with a weak immune system.

    1 dose

    Pneumococcal (pneumonia)

A pneumococcal conjugate vaccine. The CDC recommends it for adults 50 and older, and for younger adults with some long-term conditions.

    Before the shot

Tell the doctor first if any of these apply

    Fever or feeling unwell today
The doctor may move the shot to another day.
A strong allergic reaction to a vaccine before
The doctor decides if the vaccine is safe for you.
    Pregnancy, or planning a pregnancy
Tdap is recommended in each pregnancy. For other vaccines, the doctor checks first.
A weak immune system, or medicine that lowers it
These vaccines are not live vaccines, but the doctor checks the best timing.
